» The Cahill Group, based in Chicago, has acquired a portfolio of Rosewood Care Centers skilled nursing facilities for $250 million. The SNFs are in Illinois and Missouri. The new company overseeing operations will be called Cahill Rosewood.

» Catholic Healthcare will sell four of its seven nursing homes in New York state to Comprehensive Healthcare Management Services LLC, citing losses over the last two years. The price has not been finalized and the deal awaits state regulatory approval. 

» The Moorings of Arlington Heights, a Presbyterian Homes community near Chicago, has partnered with Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care on a yearlong memory care education program. Dementia care specialists from Rainbow will lead classes for Moorings’ staff and families on best practices for care.

» Landmark Investment Group has begun construction of an estimated $70 million continuing care retirement community in Kansas City, MO. Landmark bought 13 acres on the campus of Research Medical Center in 2011 and recently tore down seven buildings to begin construction on Rockhill Greens Senior Living, according to local reports.
