So, I have been thinking. How do we tee up 2021 with a positive approach, when it hasn’t exactly started off with a bang? Well, maybe it started off with a bang but not a good one.

To be honest, here in Florida everyone and their grandmother buys fireworks and they start at dusk and continue until 5 a.m. My little dog needs therapy. She hears a car door slam now and starts cowering under the bed. Do they have doggy psychologists for doggy PTSD?  Anyway, as usual, I digress.

Our country is up to its eyebrows in alligators amid COVOD-19 variants and political unrest, and Pollyanna here is asking you to have a positive approach to the year.

But here’s the thing: If we don’t protect ourselves with a positive outlook and stop the stinking thinking, our thinking is going to sink us.

So what do we do when our negative thoughts overwhelm us? We tell ourselves “STOP” and think of something else. You know, like when your husband tries to mansplain sports? We have no trouble telling him to stop so he doesn’t suffer undue consequences. Right? It’s like that except you tell yourself to stop.

Think about all you accomplished in 2020. Think about the fact that you survived 2020. And now, think about how you will thrive in 2021 and make yourself and the lives around you so much better this year.

You are warriors. You will be awesome in 2021. I believe that!

Just keeping it real,
