67th annual AHCA annual meeting hits Music City

The annual convention and expo of the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living kicks off Sunday in Nashville. Dozens of educational sessions will offer long-term care professionals opportunities to earn continuing education credit and network with peers.

LTC pharmacists to meet in Orlando

The 2014 annual meeting and exhibition of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists will take place Wednesday through Friday in Orlando. The group will be “celebrating 45 years of building our future” at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center.

Big week ahead for senior-care provider meetings

Both the Assisted Living Federation of America and the American Health Care Association will host major meetings in the coming week. For ALFA, it’s the group’s annual meeting, which will take place from Monday through Thursday in Phoenix. AHCA will entertain members on Tuesday and Wednesday in Washington for the group’s annual Capitol Hill briefing.

Seniors housing association holds annual meeting

The American Seniors Housing Association will hold its annual meeting Sunday through Tuesday at the Turnberry Isle Resort in Aventura, FL. Association leaders and members will gather to discuss leadership issues for the industry, as well as top legislative and regulatory matters. In addition to various exchanges of business information, educational sessions will cover recent advances in research.

LeadingAge annual meeting, expo to draw thousands to Dallas

LeadingAge will host its annual meeting and expo Sunday through Wednesday at the Dallas Convention Center. Dozens of continuing education credits, as well as countless opportunities to network and see some of the newest technology available will be available. Keynote speakers include athlete and activist Aimee Mullins, nonprofit guru and innovator Dan Pallotta and National Geographic writer and explorer Dan Buettner.

Directors of nursing rolling the dice with annual meeting

The National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care is gathering members for five days of education, networking and socializing at Caeser’s Palace in Las Vegas. The meeting starts Saturday and includes an opening General Session on Sunday and exhibit hours Monday and Tuesday mornings. With a theme of “In it to win it!” the conference will offer up to 30 hours of continuing education credit. A full array of clinical, regulatory and management topics will be covered.

Nursing home administrators to hold 47th annual meeting

The American College of Health Care Administrators will open its 47th Annual Convocation & Exposition a week from today at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, FL. Top long-term care managers from around the country will gather to learn about top staffing, regulatory, administrative and legislative issues. Keynote speakers include Neal Petersen on Saturday and Jason Kotecki, LD, HR, AL, on Sunday. Attendees can earn up to 19.5 continuing education credits from the 41 sessions.
