Mark Parkinson President & CEO at American Health Care Association

Career Achievement Award winner Mark Parkinson leads a distinguished class of McKnight’s Pinnacle Awards honorees who will be celebrated March 21 at an awards banquet in Chicago.

The longtime president and CEO of the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living, Parkinson also has been governor of Kansas and an assisted living facility owner and operator.

Thirty other elite long-term care leaders also will be recognized for driving change, setting new standards and inspiring others. They were nominated by peers and selected by an independent national panel of judges.

“This is an incredible collection of veterans who have made lasting marks on their fields. Such a group of outstanding professionals may gather only once a year,” praised McKnight’s Publisher Craig Roth in announcing the winners.

The Pinnacle Awards recognize professionals who have spent more than 20 years leading in skilled nursing, senior living, home care or affiliated fields. The March 21 awards ceremony and banquet is open to all friends, family, colleagues and supporters.
