Long-term care once again led the pack for all healthcare sectors in deal volume for 2019, according to a PwC report. 

The sector saw a total of 437 deals, which accounted for 36% of the year’s total volume for health services. Overall, there were more than 1,200 deals within the health services industry in 2019, with 100 deals being made in the fourth quarter. 

The Ensign Group Inc. and Welltower Inc. were among the “most active buyers” within the sector. The companies completed 15 and 14 deals, respectively.
