» Genesis announced a partnership between its LTC ACO and skilled nursing provider SavaSeniorCare. The partnership will allow long-term care physicians who care for residents in SavaSeniorCare facilities to participate in the Medicare Shared Savings Program through Genesis’ accountable care organization. 

» HCR ManorCare may soon be extending its reach into new health systems. Executives for the post-acute care provider announced that it is in “active negotiations” with several health systems regarding their post-acute needs. 

»Private equity investment firm Tryko Partners has acquired two nursing homes in the Philadelphia area. One facility has 240 beds and provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term resident care, while the other has 201 skilled nursing beds and a 63-unit assisted living campus.

»The sale of six Absolut nursing facilities in New York was approved by a U.S. bankruptcy court in late February. The deal still needs to be approved by the state Health Department and is expected to be completed in late 2020.
