Russell R. Barksdale Jr. is the new president and Chief Executive Officer of Waveny LifeCare Network in New Canaan, CT.
He was previously the CEO of Summit Holdings in Virginia. He also is the past president and CEO of Friendship Foundation, Virginia’s largest retirement community. Barksdale also has worked as a vice president at Catholic Health Services.
He began his career in 1985 at St. Clare’s Hospital’s business development and strategic planning division.
Barksdale completed his undergraduate degree at Pennsylvania State University and his master’s degree in public healthcare administration from Rutgers University of New Jersey. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
He lives in New Canaan with his wife, Katie.
