The Ensign Group purchased several long-term care facilities over the summer. It bought nine skilled nursing and assisted living facilities from Careage Management, along with home health agency Careage Home Care, in July. The properties, in Iowa and Nebraska, encompass 549 skilled nursing beds and 72 assisted living units.
In August, the company announced it had acquired a 134-bed SNF in Texas, and Hurricane Health and Rehabilitation Center, a 48-bed SNF in Utah. It also bought an independent and assisted living facility with 167 units in Dallas. n
