The final entry period for the 2022 McKnight’s Women of Distinction awards program arrives at midnight Wednesday.
That still leaves plenty of time to fill out the basic entry form as a way to gain some uplifting recognition for special leaders and inspirational performers near you. But organizers remind that this “extended” entry period will indeed close all entries in five days (Jan. 12).
“What better way to bring some well-earned praise while COVID, regulatory battles and other challenges are doing their best to lower morale,” noted McKnight’s Executive Director John O’Connor on Thursday.
Past winners have been employed by long-term care big and small, and in city, suburb and rural settings. Categories recognize early-career professionals (Rising Stars), mid-career standouts (Veteran VIPs) and top executives (Hall of Honor). This year there is also a new category honoring outstanding instances or circumstances under the Spirit Award label.
