The new year has ushered in the final weeks of nomination-gathering for the robust inaugural McKnight’s Women of Distinction honors program. The “Rising Stars” division expects to see a wide array of titles and geographic areas represented since it caters to up-and-comers in the senior care/post-acute field, which includes skilled care and assisted living, and other areas.

Fans of potential “Rising Stars,” including the individuals themselves, are encouraged to fill in the basic nomination information at the program’s website. Eligible recipients shall be women 40 years or younger, or who have been involved in long-term care for fewer than 15 years.

Nominations are also being gathered at the same site for Hall of Honor candidates. Female leaders in the top echelons of senior care groups or affiliated entities are eligible for this elite designation.

Nominations are free for the next two weeks (until January 18) and then will cost $25 each until the January 31 final deadline. An impartial national panel of judges will evaluate all nominees. Honorees are in store for national recognition and coverage in all McKnight’s publications, among other activities.
