Former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona and her husband, astronaut Capt. Mark Kelly, will headline the star-studded list of featured speakers at the upcoming annual meeting of the Assisted Living Federation of America. The 2014 ALFA Conference & Expo will take place May 20-22 in Phoenix. Seventy-five educational sessions will discuss hot topics in assisted living today.
Another highlighted speaker will be Sir Ken Robinson, an internationally recognized leader in the development of education, creativity and innovation whose TED videos have been seen by a record 200 million people in 150 countries. General Stan McChrystal, a former Army Ranger known for innovative leadership rounds out the top trio of speakers.
