A range of leadership and ethical issues will be explored at a special two-day online conference for medical directors and other top leaders at long-term care facilities. The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine (formerly known as AMDA) will hold the educational conference Nov. 20 and 21.

Topics that will be discussed include the evolution of traditional processes forced by pandemic conditions, next meaningful action steps, and best practices for beyond pandemic conditions. DIscussions and audience participation will be encouraged, organizers say.

Resilience will be a major focal point, as participants explore best practices to current and emerging leadership and ethical issues in the PALTC setting. Legal, technological, medical and cultural perspectives need to provide quality holistic patient care will be presented.
