The LeadingAge Leadership Summit takes place April 15-17 in Washington.

The 2024 LeadingAge Leadership Summit takes on a new look April 15-17 in Washington, with the addition of a special Leadership Award.

The annual spring conference will again feature a variety of educational sessions on operations, technology, lobbying activities and strategy.

It also will unveil the first winner of the new Leadership Award, which will recognize the “unique leadership” of a top professional whose actions have made a significant difference within their organization. Nominations for this inaugural honor are being accepted through Feb. 23.

The Leadership Summit will highlight two keynote speakers. Anand Giridharadas is a journalist and political analyst who “unswervingly raises his voice in support of preserving democracy, overcoming division and grappling with change. His Monday morning session, “Choosing Persuasion Over Polarization,” will discuss how to “stand bravely for what we believe in while staying open to other viewpoints,” organizers note. He is the author of the best-selling book, “The Persuaders.”

The Tuesday morning keynoter will be Jason Feifer, the editor-in-chief of Entrepreneur magazine, an advisor to startup businesses, and the author of “Build for Tomorrow: An Action Plan for Embracing Change, Adapting Fast, and Future-Proofing Your Career.” He has written and edited for a range of top-flight publications, focusing often on helping business leaders become more resilient and adaptable in a world of constant change. He will offer “tangible strategies for moving through periods of change by lessening your panic, adapting faster, defining a new normal, and moving forward without fear,” organizers say.

Attendees also will be encouraged to visit their respective lawmakers in Congress to press issues important to the profession.
