Providers looking to learn more about ICD-10 and its impending transition are invited to attend the ICD-10 Basics webinar at 1:30 p.m. EDT on Aug. 22. The event is hosted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Sue Bowman, senior director in coding policy and compliance at the American Health Information Management Association, will speak and CMS will provide an update on the ICD-10 implementation schedule. A question and answer session will take place at the end of the presentation.
Bowman will hit on topics such as the benefits of ICD-10, the similarities and differences from ICD-9, training needs, and resources for coding and training. The event is planned to last 90 minutes.
