Providers are being urged to recognize their direct-caregiving force on March 19 — Certified Nurses Day. The special observation is promoted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, which offers tips on how to celebrate and promotion tools on its website.

Inspired by Dr. Margretta ‘Gretta’ Madden Styles, RN, EdD, FAAN, who was a pioneer in nursing certification, Certified Nurses Day is a prime opportunity to invite all nurses to pursue certification, ANCC officials say.
