ADVION’s 2024 Legislative & Regulatory Conference will feature three top Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services officials when it kicks off in Washington, DC, next month.

The conference runs March 18 – March 20 at the Intercontinental Hotel at the DC Wharf. Featured speakers include three leaders from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services:

  • David Wright, who oversees compliance with the Medicare health and safety standards for laboratories, hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, hospices and other facilities that serve Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries;
  • John Kane, who directs SNF payment policy; and
  • Stella Mandl, who leads cross-agency projects to achieve greater efficiency in CMS operations.

The event also will bring together representatives from major therapy organizations — including the American Occupational Therapy Association, the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association — for a unique panel discussion on post-acute issues.

ADVION, formerly known as the National Association for the Support of Long-Term Care, or NASL, represents therapists and others providing ancillary services in post-acute settings. The advocacy group changed its name in late 2022 to reflect a more comprehensive focus involving home health and outpatient rehab.

Registration for the 2024 legislative conference will remain open, but access to a specially-priced hotel block ends today.
