The annual convention and expo for the nation’s largest association of nursing home operators kicks off Sunday and runs through Wednesday at the San Diego Convention Center. The American Health Care Association and its sister group, the National Center for Assisted Living, will offer an array of educations sessions, networking opportunities and social events.
Keynote speakers include astronaut Scott Kelly and personal empowerment motivator Dan Thurmon, for the opening and closing slots, respectively. The association also is putting preparation for the government’s new payment system, the Patient Driven Payment Model, front and center with extensive educational sessions Sunday that will be repeated Wednesday.
