Global Partnership for Telehealth, a nonprofit corporation, is offering its telemedicine web-based video conferencing software called Pathways.

Pathways allows telehealth users to connect to different specialists. Users can access different peripheral scopes, a tele-auscultation platform and share patient health information.

Historically, facilitating a telemedicine visit meant GPT’s partners had to switch between different video, imaging and other platforms, which could be tedious. Pathways allows a virtual waiting room, the ability to enter patient information into an easy-to-print consult summary, and to send encounter summaries. The company is HIPAA compliant.

“The workflow is very intuitive and includes the ability to easily share patient information with the healthcare provider,” said Jerad Johnson, chief technology officer at GPT. “This means the time it takes a healthcare professional to be trained for implementing telehealth into their practice will be greatly reduced.  Our providers asked for reduced administrative time, so they have more time to focus on the patient. We are proud that Pathways achieves these goals and hope to bring telemedicine to even more underserved areas.”
