Sal and Mabel Mangano were found innocent in their negligent homicide trial in Louisiana on Friday, but the nursing home owners’ legal troubles are far from over.

The Manganos still face more than 30 lawsuits filed by family members of residents who drowned at St. Rita’s nursing home after Hurricane Katrina hit. The facility owners declined offers of help and decided to shelter in place rather than evacuate before the storm.

The Manganos were cleared on 35 counts of negligent homicide and 24 additional counts of cruelty to the infirm late Friday.
