WellSky opened its new world headquarters in Overland Park, KS, last week, in tandem with naming Midland Care Connection as the inaugural recipient of a $50,000 donation from the WellSky Foundation.

Overland Park Mayor Carl Gerlach and WellSky executives, including CEO Bill Miller, joined employees in celebrating its grand opening. WellSky has moved into the CityPlace Corporate Centre III building, developed by Block Real Estate Services.

“Our rapidly growing workforce will now have more resources to develop industry-transforming health and community care solutions in our state-of-the-art space that inspires progress, innovation, and success for the clients we serve,” Miller said.

The WellSky Foundation, a nonprofit, said that Midland Care is providing services that include hospice, home health, private duty, palliative care, adult day care, PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), Meals on Wheels and grief counseling services. The provider will use the donation to renovate rooms in its inpatient hospice facility, the Midland Care Hospice House.

The WellSky Foundation will announce its second recipient at its annual user conference, CareForum, in Kansas City in September. The foundation will also name a third recipient before the end of the year.
