ICA will launch a HIT Me Blog. The blog that will address issues facing healthcare, health information technology (HIT) and health information exchange (HIE). Initial blogs include discussions on vendor collaboration to improve interoperability; an overview of HIMSS12 in Las Vegas; comment and analysis on why ICD10 has stalled and a discussion suggesting why; how interoperability could end client server electronic medical record (EMR) deployments; how “mega-change” is needed for HIEs to flourish, and an overview of the interoperability showcase at HIMSS12. Future blogs will include discussions on clinical communications, patient engagement, patient centricity, privacy vs. utility, managing “Big Data” in health IT, the seamless managing of transitions of care, care coordination and patient collaboration, clinical analytics, care collaboration, mobile health and more.
