Sage North America partners with McKesson

Sage North America and McKesson Pharmacy Systems & Automation announced a partnership to develop the McKesson Mobile Delivery application.

McKesson Mobile Delivery was introduced at the company’s ideaShare 2013 conference and has 50 pharmacies signed on. It is designed to let pharmacies make home deliveries and process payments with devices that include iPhones and iPads.

It pairs with a Sage Mobile Payments card reader to ensure transactions are encrypted and PCI-compliant.

“McKesson had a clear vision for the direction it wanted to take with McKesson Mobile Delivery, and the vital features needed to be HIPAA-compliant and simple to use,” said Greg Hammermaster, president of Sage Payment Solutions. “We included the ability to auto-deposit the payments directly into pharmacy bank accounts within one or two business days to help ensure the application adds more value for pharmacies in both cash flow and back-office efficiencies.”
