Indianapolis-based SafeKeeping, a resident engagement and care communication platform for long-term care providers and caregivers, announced it had secured $330,000 in seed funding.

The funding round was primarily led by Solidea Capital. The money will allow the company to continue to expand offerings, it said. Facilities that have used SafeKeeping are saving up to 370 hours of time per facility through streamlined nurse-family engagement, executives said.

“While providing peace of mind to residents’ families is our North Star, we know it’s critical first to ensure that said families can engage with nurses in a meaningful way, which allows facilities to operate as efficiently as possible,” said SafeKeeping co-founder and CEO DougWilcox. “Our ability to save facility staff time and energy and provide them with an easy-to-use means for communication is what allows the flow of information to families to become an integrated part of the long-term care process.”

SafeKeeping provides a platform of care instructions, vitals, medicines and risk assessments. It is integrated with PointClickCare. Families receive information through a connected device. Residents are encouraged to submit a facility satisfaction survey through SafeKeeping.
