PointClickCare has made its Secure Conversations feature available to the Canadian market, the software vendor announced.

The company’s text-messaging application lets providers communicate personal health information through a smartphone and the company’s electronic health record system.

PointClickCare Secure Conversations, which is integrated with TigerText, was designed as an encrypted mobile-messaging and web application and should speed up communication around laboratory results, patient procedures, medical histories, practitioner on-call notifications, resident-related questions and other important personal health information from mobile devices, the company said.

“With PointClickCare Secure Conversations, practitioners and providers can share patient information quickly and in a manner that is compliant with provincial laws, ensuring better response time and accurate decision-making,” said Dave Wessinger, chief technology officer for PointClickCare.
