A new range of door hardware products made with CuVerro® bactericidal copper alloys has been released by Ingersoll Rand.
The door hardware includes locks, push-pull latches, exit devices, pull handles and push plates expressly designed for use in hospitals, medical offices and other healthcare facilities.
The arrival of the ActivClean™ portfolio opens a new market for Ingersoll Rand, the company said. The CuVerro® touch surfaces kill 99.9% of bacteria within two hours, officials noted. CuVerro® is an Olin Brass company.
Ingersoll Rand showed its ActivClean™ portfolio at the 2013 American Society for Healthcare Engineering Conference and Exposition in Atlanta.
