Mid-Atlantic Health Care has completed its $41 million acquisition of the Parkhouse Providence Point, a skilled nursing facility, along with he Montgomery Meadows independent living center, and Riverview, an adult day center, in Royersford, PA.
Mid-Atlantic was selected to be the operator of the facilities in October 2013 by the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. The three facilities collectively have 467 skilled nursing beds, 15 independent living units and the adult day center. It was previously owned and operated by Montgomery County.
The company said it plans to renovate Parkhouse over the next five years and will implement Mid-Atlantic’s signature Step-Up ™ units. These can treat high acuity patients within the Parkhouse facility and can avoid costly hospital readmissions.
