Legacy Health, a nonprofit healthcare organization in Oregon, has chosen Vynca for advance care planning options.
Oregon’s Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) forms outline what care patients want to receive at the end of the lives. Vynca has been working with the state’s POLST registry since 2015. The new partnership with Legacy allows an integration with the provider’s electronic health records system.
“We needed a technology that would seamless integrate with our Epic EHR platform, which would allow our 13,000 employees and 650 physicians to easily access and honor the end-of-life wishes of our patients,” said John Kenagy, Ph.D., senior vice president and chief information officer of Legacy Health.
