Johnson & Johnson plans to remove formaldehyde and other potentially harmful chemicals from products that could be used by residents, the company announced. The harsh chemicals are said to be inclusive of cancer-causing properties. Additional targeted ingredients include triclosan (used in soaps) and phthalates (used in hair sprays). Since 2010, J&J has reduced production of products containing formaldehyde by 33%, according to the firm.
