Inovonics will demonstrate integration of its mobile duress pendants into Milestone XProtect® Enterprise video management software at ISC West 2014.
The integration of Inovonics’ EMD with Milestone XProtect VMS connects duress events with video confirmation for greater insights into security and life-safety threats. The hope is it will increase efficinecy and reduce violent episodes.
When a panic button is hit, the product will notify security personnel by providing a live video stream based on the location of the duress alert. Directly incorporating a video feed into the VMS system will improve the ability to assess and determine appropriate response levels, speed overall assistance and help organizations leverage existing systems to expand their in-building and on-grounds people protection efforts, the company said.
