HYGIA Health Services alarm

HYGIA Health Services has said it now offers bed and chair fall alarms in its catalog of single use, non-invasive devices around a patient room.

These Essential Clinical Commodities are used throughout hospitals and healthcare facilities and can be managed and reprocessed with HYGIA. This can save more than $1,000 per bed per year, the company said.

HYGIA’s processes — specifically designed for ECCs — clean, test, disinfect, and repackage items using FDA approved processes to provide products such as cerebral-somatic sensors, blood pressure cuffs, SCD/DVT sleeves, pulse ox sensors, ECG leads, pneumatic tourniquets, infuser bags, splints, masks and now bed alarms.

In addition to cost savings, the process prevents thousands of single use devices from entering landfills, and can multiply in more hard cost savings over the years, HYGIA said.
