Global Healthcare REIT Inc. closed on a deal to sell a Union Point, GA, facility to Greene County LTC for $3.8 million. Greene County LTC is a Georgia limited liability company. The SNF has 71 beds and is called Greene Pointe Healthcare Center.
The buyer is a former lease operator.
The company executed a new 10-year operating lease for Goodwill Nursing Home in Macon, GA, concurrently with the Greene Point sale. The Goodwill lease operator is an affiliate of the Green Pointe buyer.
The Goodwill facility closed in January when the former lease operator filed for Chapter 11. The state will need to recertify and reopen the facility. While awaiting approvals, the operator will invest at least $1 million in refurbishing the property, according to a statement.
