A 90-bed skilled nursing facility is planned for the Sanford campus of Southern Maine Health Care, according to local reports.
It will be built and owned by Sandy River Company and operated by Genesis HealthCare.
The project, which will replace Newton Center nursing home, is estimated to cost $21 million. It will built on land owned by SMHC, the Bangor Daily News reported.
