Generac Holdings, one of the largest creators of generators, announced this month it will acquire the assets of Baldor Electric Company’s generator products division. Baldor is a subsidiary of ABB Group.
Following the closing of the transaction, employees at Baldor Generators will become part of Generac staff and its Oshkosh, WI, facility will be a part of its “manufacturing footprint.” Generac has its headquarters in Waukesha, WI.
The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2013. The terms of the transaction were not announced.
