Ecumen, MOJO team up to create competition

A long-term care provider and innovation company have teamed up to launch a testing environment geared toward helping and rewarding technology and innovation.

Ecumen and MOJO Minnesota have created AgePower. The search is focused on “transforming the future of gaining and providing real-life test environments.” It is open to start-ups, inventors and established companies.

AgePower will take submissions until Oct. 31 and a committee will select four technologies or companies to receive a six-month field trial with Ecumen residents. Test environments will include Alzheimer and dementia care units, long-term care, assisted living and in-home settings.

The goal is for AgePower to be able to expedite bringing a product or service to market. Ecumen and MOJO will in turn receive a small equity stake.
