Digital Care Systems Inc. has introduced a wireless emergency call system that costs $100 per resident room. This new option was designed for communities on a limited budget that need to upgrade an existing emergency call system — as well as operators with systems that are failing or becoming obsolete. The Care-Net System is a series of repeaters that are installed throughout the building, along with wireless pendant transmitters that are worn by residents. The system can be staff installed, the firm notes.
