Benedictine Health System has announced it has implemented electronic care transitions between its electronic health record vendor, MDI Achieve/Matrix Care, and Epic, the electronic health record of its hospital partner, Alinea Health.
The interoperability project was funded by an e-Health Connectivity Grant from the Minnesota Department of Health, and focused on data exchanges on continuity of care between the two health organizations.
MDI Achieve/Matrix Care used structured and typed data consumed as discreet data elements, and data can be generated on demand, the company said.
