SCA has announced the new TENA® Bathing Glove. As an alternative to soap and water, it is the first pre-moistened, disposable bath glove for long-term care professionals and home caregivers, the company said.
It was first launched in Europe and tested in two SNF facilities in the U.S. and Canada.
Features include the glove’s infusion of a no-rinse, pH neutral cleansing formula with gentle ingredients. The soft, textured material is similar to a washcloth, but with the convenience of a disposable glove. It reduces cross contamination and is less physically demanding for those professionals giving a resident a bath, the company said. Preparation and clean-up time of basins can be labor intensive.
