The new Aladin smart device from Domalys helps prevent falls by predicting a loss of autonomy and anticipating certain medical conditions. It also serves as an alert system in case of actual falls.

Aladin is installed on a wall and equipped with various sensors that monitor movements, falls, temperature and luminosity.

“We named our product Aladin because it is a magic lamp with a genie inside,” said business developer Evan Belay. “You don’t have three wishes but there are three magic features that can save elderly lives.”

An automatic lamp lights up when the resident is going to the restroom during the night. Automatic fall detection sends an immediate alarm to the nurse or the caregiver on a smart device. And data analysis catalogs how many times per night the resident wakes up to potentially reveal if a new pathology is developing.
