An acrylic wheelchair/rollator protection barrier is the latest product from Florida-based SafeguardMyBiz, once best known for its sneeze guards.
Designed with nursing home, rehab and assisted living patients in mind, the barrier is sized to easily allow a wheelchair or rollator to be rolled directly into it. The barrier is made of rigid, durable, non-porous transparent acrylic and can help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases by blocking the transmission of respiratory droplets.
The company said it is an ideal tool for creating safe visiting conditions during the pandemic or during other contagious events.
The barrier is stable, self-supporting and portable consisting of four flat acrylic panels that can be disassembled and easily stored. The barrier can also be easily cleaned and disinfected between uses.
