There is a new forum for wound care nurses who are looking for help from their peers.
The San Antonio-based KCI has announced the availability of its new Nurse2Nurse Mobile App. The “one-of-a-kind” new digital community will allow wound care nurses to collaborate with one another in a HIPAA-compliant fashion to figure out any tricky issues while providing care.
N2N, as it’s called for short, was developed and led by nurse leaders, with more than 500 clinicians taking part in the pilot phase of the new product, according to a company announcement.
“At KCI, we have a longstanding history of collaboration with clinicians to provide solutions that resolve some of their most pressing unmet needs,” said Ron Silverman, M.D., chief medical officer of KCI, which is part of the larger Acelity Company. “Feedback and interaction from nursing leaders helped us identify a need for a digital community where wound care nurses can compliantly share information, best practices and instantly connect with fellow clinicians.”
The app, which debuted at the 2018 Annual Conference of the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society this week, is available through Google Play and the Apple App Store.
