Pilar Carvajal has more than 20 years of experience in the senior living industry. She began her involvement in the field as CEO at Mia Senior Living Solutions in Miami Beach, FL, where she supervised the development and management of senior living projects.

As a result, Mia Senior Living Solutions won national awards from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and was recognized by Medicaid as a model facility under Carvajal.

She then founded Innovation Senior Management, where she is CEO. The organization is designated as a certified Women Business Enterprise from the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council and a Minority Business Enterprise from the National Minority Supplier Development Council. Carvajal’s business serves independent, assisted living and memory care resident in middle-market communities throughout Florida.

Carvajal is a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business alumni as well as a Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Leadership Miami program graduate. She sits on several boards, including the Florida Assisted Living Association, the Miami Chamber of Commerce Healthcare Committee, the Beacon Council Small Business Committee and the City of Miami Beach Affordable Housing Committee.

As a member of FALA, Carvajal works to expand Medicaid dollars to benefit low- and middle-income seniors by working with affordable housing developers, private developers, architectural firms and investors to develop an affordable model that can be replicated throughout Florida.
