The McKnight’s Long-Term Care editorial staff has won two Gold Awards and two Bronze Awards, organizers of the ASHPE 2008 Awards competition announced this week.

McKnight’s landed top honors in the Best Online News Section (www.mcknights.com) and Best Single News Article categories. Bronze Awards were bestowed for Best Single Issue and Best Regular Column: Staff-Written.

“We are extremely proud of our staff. This marks 21 top-three national awards – six of them Gold Awards — in the last five years, and 24 in the last seven,” McKnight’s Editorial Director John O’Connor said. “Our readers consistently tell us we’re the best in long-term care, and ASHPE’s experts continue to say we do some of the best work in all of healthcare.”

The annual ASHPE contest recognizes outstanding editorial excellence and achievement in healthcare publications. ASHPE stands for the American Society of Health Publication Editors.
