The Florida Supreme Court has agreed 4-3 to hear the case on Terry Schiavo, the comatose woman who’s been kept alive for 10 years on feeding tubes at the Pinellas County nursing home.

Terry’s husband, Michael Schiavo, says his 40-year-old wife does not want to be kept alive artificially. Schiavo’s parents say she recognizes them and they contend she would want to be kept alive.

Michael Schiavo sued Gov. Jeb Bush over an emergency law Bush enacted in October. Under the law, Bush ordered the feeding tube reinserted six days after Schiavo had it removed. Schiavo argues the law is unconstitutional.

Oral arguments are scheduled for Aug. 31.
