Tim Lukenda is stepping down as president and CEO of Extendicare after a decade on the job, the Markham, Ontario, company announced in late July.

No reason was given for the departure, but the 118-facility company said that it has launched a search for new leadership. Lukenda, in his early 50s, is scheduled to stay through December.

He took the reins of the company in 2008 and calls his biggest achievement at Extendicare the sale of the company’s U.S. businesses in 2015 for $870 million.
