» Status Solutions has expanded the alerting components of its Situational Awareness and Response Assistant (SARA) to include mobile dashboards, the company announced. SARA’s eMessenger can deliver detailed alerts to virtually any screen, according to Status Solutions President Mike MacLeod. New features also include two-way talk, persistent or passive user interface, and mobile dashboards that can receive color-coded text.

» Med-Mizer has released a pivoting bariatric bed, the PR80000. The 42-inch bed has an 800-pound capacity. The frame articulates like a normal high-low bed but has the capacity to pivot in the same footprint and transform into a lift chair for transferring a patient in and out of bed. 

» nora systems has launched norament satura, a floor covering for working environments such as healthcare facilities. nora invited architects and designers to create the design and color palette. norament satura features a hammerblow surface and granule effect. The floor’s tough, slip-resistant surface is meant to be comfortable and to reduce noise. It is available in 3.5-millimeter tiles and also available as stair treads.

» RF Technologies has released a newly designed line of nurse and emergency call stations. The call stations are key parts of the Code Alert Quick Response Plus Wireless Call Solution. They are available in five models, including a Push Button Call Station, Nurse Call Cord Station, Nurse Call Cord Station with Check-in, Pull Cord Call Station, and a Pull Cord Call Station with Check-in. The check-in features can record non-alarm events, such as resident or staff check-ins, or a time log.

» Dakim BrainFitness won silver at the Edison Awards in Chicago in April. The awards program honors “game changing innovations.” Dakim BrainFitness is available as a web-based subscription service and helps patients with cognitive decline, stroke or traumatic brain injury.
