A new tool could help providers efficiently prep for ICD-10.

The Nursing Home Compare website has received its first regular data update since the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services implemented its “abuse” alert icon.

Administrator Seema Verma announced updates to the consumer-facing site and the Five Star Quality Rating System on Wednesday. The revisions include an update to the inspection component of the rating system, Special Focus Facility candidate list and on facilities that qualified for the abuse icon.

The next update for the site is scheduled for Jan. 29, 2020, according to a CMS memo. The agency also announced the December update for Skilled Nursing Facility Value-based Purchasing Program data.
