CareTrust REIT Inc. acquired a portfolio of two California skilled nursing facilities, along with two seniors housing properties, for $34.4 million, the company announced in August.
The acquisition of the portfolio could have been “very complex and contentious,” since the sellers included three related but different ownership groups, CareTrust officials noted.
The newly acquired properties, which include a total of 293 skilled nursing beds and 79 assisted living units, are currently leased to affiliates of Covenant Care LLC.
