All of the residents at the Texas state-run Buena Vista Nursing Home in Clovis, TX were evacuated to other facilities because the nursing home is contaminated with black mold.

The state’s Long-Term Care Ombudsman Katrina Hotrum says the state decided to move the residents after heavy rains worsened existing roof problems.

Hotrum says residents were given a choice of where they wanted to go.  Several residents who are friends were placed together in the same facility in Clovis. Others were moved to Portales and Farwell, TX, according to the Associated Press.
