Erin Knoepfel, MS, CCC/SL

Providers can learn how to better handle one of their most challenging caregiving categories — cognitively impaired residents — by tuning in to a free McKnight’s webcast April 24.

“Improving care for cognitively impaired residents” will take place at 1 p.m. (Eastern Time) on that Tuesday. Registration is also no-cost and is ongoing — just click here.

Erin Knoepfel, MS, CCC/SLP, Director of Clinical Services in Speech Language Pathology for Genesis Rehab Services will be the keynote speaker. Attendees will learn more about how Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) differs from aging-related cognitive changes; the importance of early MCI identification as a way to improve care; utilizing technology to improve care, outcomes, census and their organization’s growth; and a rehab provider’s responsibility in resident identification, assessment and treating impairments related to MCI.

The event, which is sponsored by It’s Never 2 Late, will be archived at the McKnight’s website for later viewing by returnees or new viewers, who can register at any time.
