An upcoming webinar will address the importance of patient data sharing during COVID-19 and the flu season.
During the presentation, which will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 1 p.m. ET, Brenda Hopkins, chief health information officer for J2 Cloud Services, and Michele Darnell, chief commercial officer for Secure Exchange Solutions, will talk about how long-term post-acute care facilities must adopt practices that allow for seamless and real-time exchange of lab results, transitions of care, diagnoses and treatments.
Those who listen in will be eligible for one continuing education credit.
Participants will learn how they can unlock data sharing roadblocks by deploying direct messaging; ensure that they receive timely referrals as patients are discharged from acute care facilities; understand how to utilize alerts to speed authorizations and improve home care coordination; get up-to-date on paper fax discharge instructions, which will no longer be sent from acute hospitals due to federal requirements; and find out how they can use secure cloud faxing or direct messaging to satisfy receiving ADT notifications.
